About the M6B
The M6B suits two families or a group of six travelling together. There are three proper double beds: one at the back, one at the front and a Luton bed above the driver’s cab. Nobody has to sleep on a converted bench. The bathroom has a shower and a flush cassette toilet, and hot water runs off gas or 220V power.
The automatic gearbox, power steering and ABS brakes make long days on the N2 or the N3 easy. Dual airbags, central locking and six seatbelts mean everyone travels safely. You can walk straight through from the cab to the living area, or use the side door. Air conditioning in the cab keeps you cool while you drive, and the 220V unit in the living area cools things down once you’re connected to power at the campsite.
The kitchen has an 80-litre fridge with an ice compartment, a 2-burner gas hob and a 220V microwave, plus an electric kettle, a toaster and crockery, cutlery and cookware for six. Six camping chairs and a camping table set up outside in minutes.
Collect the M6B in Johannesburg or Cape Town, or from depots in Durban, Mbombela, Gqeberha, KuGompo City and Knysna. It’s a great way to tour the Garden Route, the Drakensberg, the Wild Coast or the Kruger, and it can cross into Lesotho and Eswatini. The 80-litre water tank and gas cooking mean you’re not tied to powered sites every night. Whether you’re searching for a motorhome, an RV or a camping car, send us your route and travel dates and we’ll check availability and quote you on this RV hire option.

M6B FAQs
How old do I need to be to hire the M6B?
The minimum driver age is 23. You’ll need a valid driver’s licence printed in English, or an International Driving Permit.
Where do six people sleep?
There are three double beds: one at the back, one at the front and a Luton bed above the driver’s cab. Each is a proper bed, so nobody has to convert the dining table at night. There are six seatbelts too, so all six can travel together.
Is a 6.9 m motorhome hard to drive?
Not really. The automatic gearbox and power steering make it easy on the open road. Remember that it’s 3.4 m high, so watch out for low bridges, fuel station canopies and shopping-centre parking garages.
Can I use the aircon and microwave without campsite power?
The cab air conditioning runs while you drive. The living-area aircon, microwave, kettle and toaster need 220V power, so use them when you’re plugged in at a campsite. The gas hob and gas hot water work off-grid, and the two 12V batteries power the lights and water system.
How far can I drive on a tank?
With an 80-litre tank and consumption of about 10L/100km, expect roughly 800 km. Fill up whenever you can on long rural stretches.
